Littleworth Station

Deeping St Nicholas is a growing village. With the new St Nicholas Park development, over 300 new houses have been built in the last few years.

However, the village is not well served by public transport. At last count on the St Nicholas Park estate, there were over 1000 cars counted on driveways of houses. Many commuters live in Deeping St Nicholas, and for them, the only way to get to Peterborough, to work, or to the train, is by car.

Add into the cost parking fees at Peterborough, which are £840.00 annually, then residents of Deeping St Nicholas don't have it cheap.

The long-term plan is to try and re-open Littleworth Station as a halt stop, but in the meantime plans for an early morning and evening bus service are being considered.

This website is the home of the campaign, and aims to give you an insight as to the plans for the village.

The campaign is led by Spalding and Peterborough Transport Forum, with support from Deeping St Nicholas Parish Council.
